🦷 Oral Health & Why It Matters for Your Loved One 🗣

Caring for a parent? Their oral health is more important than you might think! Dental problems don’t just cause discomfort—they can impact eating, communication, overall health, and even increase the risk of serious conditions like pneumonia and heart disease.

On 16th April, 6pm join Julie Fletcher, Oral Health Promotion Coordinator at Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, for a free online session packed with essential guidance on keeping your loved one’s teeth, gums, and mouth healthy.

👄 What you’ll learn:

✔️ Practical tips to support oral health in later life

✔️ Advice to make dental hygiene easier for those with cognitive or physical disabilities

✔️ Spotting problems early – warning signs you shouldn’t ignore

✔️ How poor oral health affects overall wellbeing

✔️ NHS Community Dental Services – what’s available & how to access them

Following the main session, attendees will have the opportunity to join breakout rooms and connect with other carents. Our smaller group settings provide a safe space for an informal chat where you can share experiences with those in similar situations.
