Like many others at this time of year, we have been reflecting on the previous year and making plans for the year ahead.

Over the last year, we were delighted to welcome so many new users to our website.  This  was doubtless the result of  our expanding bookcase content and higher SEO ratings alongside our awareness campaigns.

Before Christmas we linked up with pharmacies across England.  Our specially printed medicine bags and leaflets helped more carents to access our support.  This initiative also helped to raise awareness of the vital role carents play in keeping their loved ones safe and well.

During 2023, we were also pleased to  showcase  some amazing innovators in  our store cupboard. The amazing 5 star review for My Folks shows just how valuable these products and services can be.  It is often difficult for time-starved carents to find the help they need, so if you have an “ageing innovation” then do please get in touch so that we can share it more widely.  We might also be able to help you develop or test  your products. .

Last summer we launched the very popular Carents Lounge. This private facebook group has grown rapidly. Lounge members are all caring for someone in later life and are generous in their support for each other. The group is warm and welcoming and all too willing to provide the practical and emotional support you might need. If you are feeling lonely or in need of advice or support from people who understand, then Carents Lounge is the place for you.

We were also proud to publish our first downloadable eBooklet filled with hints and tips to help you prevent or manage common emergencies which can affect those in later life.

Many carents are juggling different roles with conflicting responsibilities between work and home.  We have been working with employers to raise awareness of your challenges.  If you want to help colleagues at work, or carents in your local community, then please feel free to use or download any of the posters or leaflets in our carents resource centre

In the months ahead, and thanks to ongoing support for our platform, we will be continuing to find ways to make life easier for you and yours. Throughout the year, we regularly post helpful tips on our social media channels so please follow us (@carents_room) and join the conversation.

You can also use the link at the bottom of this page to sign up for our newsletter.

With grateful thanks to all of our supporters and our best wishes to you all for the New Year ahead!
