Ageing services and products – calling entrepreneurs!

Saw and tape measure

There is a global market for ageing services and products to make ageing and carenting easier. We want you to be part of that market.

The UK National Innovation Centre for Ageing (NICA) has developed an online course which is suitable for anyone interested in discovering business and innovation opportunities relating to ageing .

The course is free (though you will need to register) and lasts around 2 hours. It covers:

  • Trajectories of global longevity
  • What does ageing mean to you?
  • How do we age?
  • Inequalities of ageing
  • Impact of an ageing society
  • Opportunities of an ageing society

We think it is great and hope you will be inspired – enough to create new ageing services and products to make ageing easier for all.  If so, we look forward to showcasing your ideas and creations here, in The Carents Room.

This course, along with our other content was a key component of the ageing innovation course we co-created for schools. The students used the course to explore the needs of older people, carents and the ageing economy. They then created innovative products to improve the everyday lives of older people.
