We are leading the way in ageing innovation

Ageing innovation is a national priority and The Carents Room is gaining traction for leading the way in this sector. We are being recognised in this year’s Innovation Showcase at VentureFest North East, designed to shine a spotlight on the region’s most innovative businesses!

The Carents Room is 1 of 15 NorthEast businesses (1 of 3 in the social enterprise category) chosen by the Innovation Supernetwork for doing things innovatively and disrupting our sector. We are committed to ageing innovation which can transform everyday life for older people and their families. We aim to harness the social and economic power of carents, and fill the gaps in support for carents and their ageing parents.

Venture Fest is being held in Newcastle on Tyne over two days – 30th and 31st March. This is an innovation conference designed to help North East entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs grow their business through connections, inspiring speakers and practical workshops. It typically attracts over 600 business delegates. Day one is an in person event held at the Boiler Shop in Newcastle, with some elements streamed online. Date two will be held online. Registration is free.

We recognise that adults supporting ageing parents – carents – pay a crucial role in tackling ageing related vulnerability, spend in the silver economy and future healthy ageing. We have an award winning and growing digital community, vital expertise in population health, primary care and family care and we collaborate to support ageing related vulnerability and promote innovative products and services .

Come and meet our team on 30th March and learn more about our support for carents, our business services and partnerships – we would love to chat!

We are passionate about improving the ageing experience and outcomes for older people and carents. Ageing doesn’t need to be grey!
