Shining a light on Vulnerability

Carent stand at the The Energy Innovation Showcase and Awards 2022

Last week we attended The Energy Innovation Showcase and Awards 2022 in Liverpool. Organised by the Energy Innovation Centre, it was a fabulous event, exceptionally well organised and attended.

In the afternoon there was an innovation safari featuring some amazing inventions. Although some were very technical, others were very relevant to vulnerable adults. Some of the most noteworthy were Easy Assist, which is a very simple yet highly effective gas safety device and Push to Talk which is a service created to connect people as a way to tackle social isolation and loneliness. The Carents Room was exhibiting in the centre of the vulnerability section.

Later in the evening, there was an awards ceremony dinner, during which we were honoured to speak about vulnerability and the role The Carents Room can play in supporting vulnerable adults and carents.
